Technical Lead, Microsoft

The Technical Lead is involved the Full Life Cycle of a Project.  During the Conception Stages of the Software Development Cycle, the Technical Lead is involved of all the Technological Aspects, including involvement in the proof of concept.  Once the Project begins, the Technical Lead is responsible for the Designing and Development of the Application, Integration, and Implementation.  The Technical Lead provides guidance to the programmers, reviewing code, integrating the application modules for system testing, and ensuring that the standards are followed.

In the role of Technical Lead you would expect to:

  • Interact with customers to understand the technical requirements
  • Identify and Document Use Cases
  • Review the Technical Architecture and Specifications with Project Managers and Sr. Tech Leads
  • Create Business Rules Document and/or Software Architecture Documents, as necessary
  • Create Detail Design documents
  • Monitor development process and manage changes (version control, configuration management, and status update)

The following skills are required:

  • 5+ years in Microsoft technologies, with 2+ in .Net
  • Proficiency in the Design Cycle
  • Overall understanding of Development Models and Architecture
  • Experience developing framework/reusable components using C# and/or VB.Net
  • Ability to provide technical direction to a team of talented developers
  • Proficiency in finding solutions to problems that arise during the Development Process
  • Excellent Programming Skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
